Notion AI, an AI-powered workspace, will be introduced to students as a support system for navigating college life — turning everyday challenges into quests and helping them stay on course along the way.
College is one big adventure. It comes with a lot of freedom, but also a lot of figuring things out on your own.
So we created the Notion AI Student Plan: a college support system designed by Notion and first rolled out at UC Berkeley.
Notion AI turns the challenges of college life into quests, helping students tackle everything from managing their workload to finding their place on campus.
Whenever they need backup, they can summon Focus, Notion’s AI Agent, to help them stay on course.
Notion is introducing a new AI Agent built specifically for students. It can scan syllabi and calendars to flag upcoming deadlines, turn class notes into study guides, and even start a Pomodoro timer when it’s time to lock in - all while speaking like a cheeky RPG guide helping students navigate their next quest.
During midterm and finals weeks, Notion AI reps will be in study halls and libraries helping students get the most out of Notion AI and learn study hacks that can make exam prep easier.
Pomodoro timers will be available to use in the study hall, helping students structure focused, productive study sessions. The same timer feature will also be available in the Notion app, so students can keep the routine going wherever they study.
If students put in enough hours at the Scholar's Sanctum, they unlock the "Tower Master" achievement and a special outfit for their Focus.
Notion’s Potions is open for business during finals week, helping students refuel between study sessions with HP Potions (cold brew) and Mana Potions (matcha lattes).

Students who earn enough XP in Notion can unlock the Notion’s Potions secret menu, rewarding their progress with exclusive drinks and perks during finals week.
How do students earn XP? Side quests. A recurring series on Notion’s TikTok will follow a UC Berkeley Notion ambassador completing campus challenges, showing students how to earn XP while bringing the campaign to life on social.
