Commercial for Crunchy Black Sesame Butter, the signature product of Rooted Fare.
For this commercial, I sought to capture both the Los Angeles spirit and Chinese flavors central to Rooted Fare's brand identity. I wanted to show the many ways their fun, modern, Chinese-American pantry staple can be experienced and enjoyed.
A young disabled girl, who is kept under strict control by her overprotective mother, sees a way out of her situation when her mysterious new aunt comes to visit.
A proof of concept based on the first act of a feature script.
